A leisure garden in Faversham to feel amazing in. Our client had worked with a couple of other landscapers in the past, but wasn’t happy with the proposals made. Having seen the work on our website they got in touch and discussions started. It was a real advantage that with such a large project as this there was a clear and realistic budget. The swim spa and hot tub had already been ordered, so it was a clear case of working out where they should go and then making sure they were the correct size. Thankfully our client had all the specifications to hand.
With a clear process outlined from the start work on the designs got underway. There were several revisions along the way, but that’s what a design process should be. I am very keen that all m y clients have as much input into their design as possible. When the project is finished, they then live with it, so some ownership of the design is very important. Together we came up with this finished design that included the sauna and hot tub which are in position, and a swim spa that will be installed when it is delivered. The sauna went through several revisions due to cost and what was available on the market. The bespoke design we started proved just too expensive. The design included appropriate use of composite decking and porcelain paving with clear lines and curves that produce the stunning effects you see here.
It was during this project that we initially met with Alex Donovan of Alex James Landscape Construction. The original landscapers we had been using were unable to help with this project and our client had recently met Alex. He quoted a sensible price and was skilled enough to begin work in winter. I think you’ll agree he has done a brilliant job.
The pond will wait for another day. The hot tub must be a delight on a sunny day, although as I full well know, they are awesome on a cold winters day too. Just make sure your towel is close to hand, you’ll need it. Even with a sauna that close by…
