A new garden design & installation for our Client in Herne Bay.
As a busy professional our client wanted a low maintenance garden that had colour, easy access to all areas and also offered privacy from her neighbours. The sound of water was important to her too. And obviously somewhere outside her living room to sit and enjoy her garden as well as entertain guests and socialise. She was also keen not to have too many straight lines.
We designed and installed a garden that included brown sandstone paving with a curved edge, breaking up the straight lines of the composite decking. We installed two paths in matching sandstone, one alongside a pyracantha greenscreen that formed the backdrop to a seat which utilised more composite decking that matched that used outside the kitchen. Central to the rear of the garden and the main visual focus is a split-level pond with a water ‘wall’ falling from the top pond. And surrounding the pond are two flower beds for shrubs that included hibiscus, cyanothus and viburnham.
In front of these beds is a defining area of meadow turf that will give year-round colour and make the garden the vibrant place for wildlife it should be.
The upper pond and seat have yet to be rendered, but we can’t wait for them to be finished in May, watch this space.
