Quite often with new builds the builders chuck all the left over building materials into the garden area and then just put top soil and turf onto that. Ultimately this is why quite often the grass just doesn’t grow well. This client had got fed up with having just a muddy out side and wanted somewhere she could potter and enjoy her plants and the wildlife that came with it. So we designed the hard landscaping and the raised bed/pergola for the plants to grow. She wanted to sort out her own planting, but allowed us to advise on where to put the elements, after all sunshine and drainage are important considerations. I think you will agree the end result is superb!
