I have an analogy for you. If you are going to redesign your house or have an extension built, the first person you would talk to is an architect. You’re probably going to spend several thousand pounds and want to make sure you know what your going to spend it on.
So, if you are going to dramatically overhaul or start again with your garden then the first person you should think about should be a garden designer, somebody who will come and talk to you to see what it is that you want to do and what you want to achieve in your garden, but also be able to make some suggestions to help further improve things.
They will also be able to have work out exactly how best to structure those things in your garden and take all those ideas away, will put them into the computer to construct your ideas using AutoCAD, computer aided design software so that you can then visualize exactly what it is that your garden is going to become.
So that before you spend any money, before you get any landscapers in, thus giving you the power to make really good informed decisions.
