An amazing outside space is vital at all times. Just as important t as an amazing inside space. And in this case even more so. Our client knew that he was about to endure a prolonged period of indoor confinement. He was about to undergo a potentially lifesaving operation and his recovery was likely to be prolonged.
Whilst he could not control any of this process, what he could do was control his environment. And sensibly he chose to get his garden redesigned so that he had a fantastic place to look at and feel inspired by.
Shrubs, most of which he already possessed in tubs, lavender, acers and bamboo (great if contained), slow-growing and colourful in raised beds so that they can be seen over the meadow. And a meadow which would provide colour all summer and need no maintenance (usually) until autumn.
The border to be bolstered by the use of trellis to support clematis and passionflower.
And of course, all overseen by Buddha, who also oversaw our clients recovered and made sure that everything was kept nicely in balance.
