Mahonia, bright colour in Winter

Mahonia

I’d like to tell you a little about mahonia. is the yellow part. Mahonia’s generally flower in January. They look fantastic. It’s got these bright yellow flowers and they last for three or four weeks in January. They are most amazing. One of those plants that is really really time specific.

But this year it’s really weird, today is the 2nd of December and it’s been in flower for a week.

That means it’s early and probably going to be gone by Christmas.

But it’s the most amazing flower to give you some real bright, joy and cheer and colour in the depth of winter. It’s got spiky leaves, but I absolutely love it. And hopefully you will agree with me. It’s one of the most amazing plants we can have in winter.

Let us plan a garden with year round colour for you.
